Monitoring and health
Read the health of the appliance in Settings, and monitor it from your own tools.

Settings › Status#
The Status tab is the first place to look when something seems wrong. Check it after the first boot. Every user sees the first two cards; the cards after them are for administrators.
Profile#
Your username, role, email address and whether two-factor authentication is on.
System information#
| Row | What it shows |
|---|---|
| Platform | One line: ONEP, the edition word, the version, then build and the build stamp. Quote it when you contact support |
| System health | Healthy, Degraded or Critical. Only the Database, Cache and Background tasks decide it. The ONEP Assistant never turns it to Degraded |
| Uptime | How long the appliance has been running, for example 7 days 22 h |
| Last start | The report written when the appliance last started, not a live check. For example Ready in 52 s. If that start-up reported a problem but the platform is healthy now, it says so |
| Virtualization | Ready means ONEP can start virtual machines. If it is not ready the row explains that virtual machines need nested virtualization on your hypervisor; see Requirements |
Under Last start an amber line can read Scheduled backups are not enabled on this appliance. ONEP does not schedule backups; see Backups and restore.
Service health#
| Row | What it covers | Words |
|---|---|---|
| Database | Where ONEP keeps environments, devices and settings | Online, Offline |
| Cache | The platform's fast working store | Online, Offline |
| Background tasks | The services that start devices, build Content Hub cards and run downloads | Online, Offline |
| ONEP Assistant | The model source set in Settings › AI for the AI Generator | Connected, Not connected |
A row that is Offline means that service is unreachable. It does not by itself mean running environments are affected: devices run as their own virtual machines and containers, not inside these services. The ONEP Assistant is optional, so Not connected is shown in amber as a note, not as a fault.
Network#
A list of health checks for the parts that carry environment and management traffic. The card heading reads Healthy or Needs attention. Each check reads Healthy or states its problem in plain words. The checks are:
- Networking and virtualization drivers
- Virtual switch service
- Virtual machine service
- Management network
- Management network address
- Management address service
- Name resolution
- Traffic forwarding
- Address translation
- Management address (DHCP)
ONEP repairs some of these by itself. A repaired check says ONEP repaired this at followed by the time. If the check has not run recently, the card says so in one line instead of showing old results.
Exposure#
Whether the appliance is published outside your network through a remote access method. It reads Not published — reachable only on your network. or names each method that is active, with its hostname. Manage remote access opens the Remote access tab.
Settings › Diagnostics#
A one-line headline names the cause when something needs attention: All services running, Running. The ONEP Assistant is not connected. or Needs attention followed by the service that is not running. Service details expands to the same rows as Service health. The tab also holds the support bundle button; see The diagnostic bundle.
Capacity and alerts#
The dashboard shows CPU, Memory and Disk in use on the appliance, and a Recent alerts card with the latest events. Settings › Images & storage shows disk use in detail.
Monitor from your own systems#
ONEP is monitored like other appliances, from the monitoring system you already run. It bundles no Grafana or Prometheus of its own.
| Endpoint | What it gives you |
|---|---|
/health | Whether the service is up. No sign-in needed, for simple up or down polling |
/metrics | Metrics in Prometheus text format, to scrape with Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix or similar |
curl -sk https://<address>/health
