Dashboard
The first screen after sign-in: what is running, what the appliance has left, and where to start.
On this page
The Dashboard is the first screen after you sign in. It shows what the appliance is doing now and gives you one click to the common starts. Its figures refresh every few seconds by themselves.
Where you land#
- After you sign in, you land on the Dashboard.
- On a new appliance, ONEP first asks you to create the administrator password, then walks you through the setup steps. Open ONEP on the last setup screen brings you to the Dashboard. See First boot and network.
- Administrators see figures for the whole appliance. Other users see figures for the environments they own.
The top bar#
- The title names the edition: ONEP, ONEP Lite or ONEP Community.
- A line under the title appears only when a platform service needs attention, for example 1 service needs attention. The number of services beside it opens Settings.
- Notifications (the bell) lists recent alerts with a count. View all opens the Audit log. With nothing to show it reads No alerts — all clear. The bell is for administrators and is not shown on Community and Lite.
- Refresh reloads every figure on the page.
- New environment opens the Environments list with the new environment form already open.
The counters#
Four counters across the top show what the appliance is doing now:
- Running devices, out of all devices you have drawn.
- Running environments, out of all environments. An environment counts as running when at least one of its devices is running.
- Total environments in your library.
- Total devices across all environments.
A running count turns green when it is above zero. Your edition limits how many devices can run at once; drawn devices are not limited. See Limits per edition.
Start tiles#
Four tiles sit under the counters. Each has a name and one line of text. The fourth depends on your edition.
| Tile | Text | Where it goes |
|---|---|---|
| Build | Design on the canvas | The Environments list, where you create an environment and open its canvas |
| Deploy | From the Content Hub | The Content Hub |
| Import | Bring an environment from another platform | The Migration Hub |
| Report a Problem | Tell us what went wrong | The problem report form, the same one as Report a problem in the sidebar. On Lite and Pro the text also shows how quickly support responds. See Report a Problem. |
| Community | Ask the ONEP community | On Community this tile takes the place of Report a Problem. It opens the community in a new browser tab. |
AI builder#
The AI builder panel shows an example description. Select the panel, or Generate, to open the AI Generator, where you describe the network in plain English and review the topology it proposes. It builds a topology; it does not chat.
Capacity#
The Capacity panel shows what the appliance is using:
- CPU as a percentage.
- Memory used out of the total, in GB.
- Disk used out of the total, in GB, for the storage volume that holds images and environments.
Each bar is green below 60 percent, amber from 60 to 85 percent and red above. Check it before you start something large.
Continue where you left off#
Your four most recently created environments, each with its name, a padlock if it is locked, its device count and its power state. Select one to open its canvas, or choose All environments for the full list. With no environments the panel reads No environments yet — build one, deploy, or import.
The power state reads Powered on when every device in the environment is running. Any other state reads Powered off here, including an environment with only some devices running. The Environments list distinguishes Partial.
Recent alerts#
Warnings and errors from devices and the platform, newest first, six at a time. Each shows what happened, its category and how long ago. A red dot marks an error or a failure; an amber dot marks a warning. Select an alert, or choose View all, to open the Audit log.
- Administrators see the panel on the full edition.
- On Community and Lite the panel is present and stays empty: No alerts.
- Other users do not see the panel; Continue where you left off then takes the full width.
The sidebar#
The sidebar on the left reaches every area. Use the menu button at its top to collapse it to icons; ONEP remembers the choice.
- Dashboard, Environments, Content Hub, Migration Hub, Centrum, AI Generator and Settings.
- Audit, for administrators. It is not shown on Community and Lite.
- At the bottom: your user name and role, Report a problem (on Community, Community instead) and Sign out.
Screens your edition does not include are not shown.
