Editions at a glance
One appliance for every edition. Your license sets the edition; there is nothing to reinstall.
ONEP has one appliance and one version number for every edition. The license file you install sets the edition and its limits. Moving from one edition to another is a license upload: no reinstall, and your environments stay where they are.
The editions compared#
For prices and the buying options, see the Editions page. How each limit works is explained in Limits per edition.

What is included#
ONEP includes Community and Lite together, in one build. The appliance starts as Community; uploading a Lite license makes it Lite. See Community or Lite: one download and Release notes.
Changing edition#
- Get the license fileA license is a small signed file named
onep.lic. - Install itIn Settings › Licensing, choose Install license file… or Replace license file…. During the first-time setup, the License step does the same.
- DoneThe interface reloads with the new edition and limits. No restart is needed.
When a paid license ends there is a 14-day grace period. After that the appliance runs as Community: nothing is deleted or stopped, your environments stay open and editable, and devices that are running keep running. A new environment, or a start that would take the appliance past the Community limits, is refused until you renew or delete some. The details are in Licensing. Which features are hidden or locked on Community and Lite is listed in Community or Lite.
